Calling All Former Orphans, Descendants/Relatives of Orphans and Former Staff and Friends and Families

of the Fairview Home for Friendless Children of Watervliet,

                 We will be having our 1st Gathering-Reunion on Saturday, September 6th at 2:00 pm with the Fairview Home Exhibit Opening.
Join us all at the Watervliet Historical Society Museum at 1501 1st Avenue, Watervliet, NY on Saturday, September 6th at 2:00 pm.
We will be unveiling the new exhibit on the Fairview Home for Friendless Children of Watervliet.
There will be a small reception for descendants and honored guests and the 1st Reunion of the former children and descendants of those children from the Home following the Exhibit Opening.

Fairview Home for Friendless Children of Watervliet Exhibit Opening and 1st Reunion

Where: Watervliet Historical Society Museum, 1501 1st Avenue, Watervliet, NY

On Saturday, September 6th, there will be an opening for an exhibit on The Fairview Home for Friendless Children of Watervliet commencing at 2 pm at the Watervliet Historical Society Museum, 1501 1st Avenue, Watervliet, N.Y.  Following which there will be a small Reunion Reception meeting for Descendants and Honored Guests.

The Friends of the Fairview Home for Friendless Children of Watervliet, will be convening after the opening for their 1st reunion of fellow orphans and descendants of those who lived and worked at Fairview Home. The group will hold a discussion and an organizational meeting.

Fairview Home was was in operation on Boght Road from 1888-1956 and took in orphans from all over the Capital District and New York State.

One of our hosts, Raymond W. LeMay III, is writing a book on the history of the home and is seeking more material on the Home, its former tenants and its History. Please contact him to share your personal family stories.
